Tale Walker is a 31 Foot Bertram Sport Fishing boat. She is Captained by Terry, "Killer" Kellam who is an Owner operator, Coast Guard licensed Captain with over 35 years experience fishing the local Hawaiian waters. She is powered by twin Yanmar-170 Diesels with a top cruising speed of 20 knots. She has a full custom Tuna Tower, out riggers, fish finder, and shaded cabin and a clean bathroom. She is tournament equipped with deluxe fighting chair and 4 top of the line Shimano Tiagra's 80W, 1 Shimano Tiagra 130W, 2 Shimano Tiagra 50W and two Shimano 30W's, and Gold Penn International fishing rods and reels (20-130lb test line) fish boxes and coolers.
We are an Owner/Operator family business. We are not tied to the railroad tracks most boats are tied to. If we catch a big one, we will stay out till we get it in. With most other boats 4 hour charters are just that, 4 hours on the nose. If we get to catching them, we are apt to stay out if the customer is willing. The boat is stored out of the water at Mala Ramp. We typically leave Mala at around 3:30 am for prime fishing, however for private charters we leave when the client wants to leave. Our owner/operator mentality is to cater to the client and make them feel like family!
We fish with the proper bait required for the fish we are targeting, including live bait and lures. Catches typically include, Mahi-Mahi, Ono, Ahi, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Rainbow Runners, Short Nosed Spear Fish, Aku etc.. We will also provide fillet's from your catch for you to enjoy for dinner while you are here on Maui. A lot of boats in Lahaina Harbor will charge you to fillet your catch or even worse make you buy the fish from them.
We fish for game fish specifically. We do not fly fish, or bottom fish other that fishing for bait fish. All fishing equipment and tackle is provided by us. We will have plenty of ice to keep the biggest game fish cool!

Some things to expect as we travel comfortably through the islands towards the secret spots fishing spots of Hawaii, Glimpses of rainbows over Lahaina, Dolphins, Turtles, Whales, and Rays are frequent highlights along the way. The catch varies but frequently includes: Dolphin (Mahi-Mahi), Ono, Tuna, Billfish, Pompano, Jack, Shark, Barracuda .. you name it and they could possibly be there!
The vessel is Coast Guard Certified to carry 6 passengers on each trip.
Bring your favorite food and beverage. No Banana’s (Bad Luck) There is no license required to fish in Hawaiian waters and No Age Restrictions. Cash and Major credit cards accepted (No Diners Club). Tips for the crew are customary for good service. Trophy Fish Mounting Services provided by Gray Taxidermy.
